Wickerman Festival


The Wickerman Festival

Wickerman Festival is a festival that held every year since 2001. It is named after the English horror movie The Wicker Man that was filmed in regions that strongly resemble to those where the festival takes place. Musically as well as creatively, the festival has been likened to a smaller version of Glastonbury with a widely eclectic mix of music to suit everyone.

Where is it ?

As every year, the festival will take place near Dundrennan, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. 

When is it ?

This year, the Festival will take place the Friday 24th and the Saturday 25th July 2015.

What music?

As I said in the introduction, during this festival, you will enjoy an eclectic mix of music as Rock, Ska, Alternative Rock, Northern Soul, Dance, Indie, World music, Punk, Reggae and Folk music. The singers such as Tom Odell, Julian Cope,Neneh Cherry, The Ramonas, The Sonnics, The Waterboys or Jimmy Cliff will be participating.

Dumfries & Galloway is rich in history and culture but it also boasts some of the best mountain bike trails, walking and country sports to be found anywhere in the UK. There’s also the small matter of one of Scotland’s largest music festival’s, the Wickerman.

There are also free tickets for children under 12 and reductions for 13-15.
