Mendelssohn on Mull Nearby attractions

Mendelssohn on Mull Festival will take place on july on the Isle of Mull. I recommend to interested people not only move for the festival but also to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of this island and its surroundings.

I had the chance to make a trip of several days in February to this island and it was one of the best trips of my life. I went there in the winter but I'm sure it is worthwhile in the summer!

I left Glasgow with 6 friends and we took the opportunity to stop on the road which was full of wonders and snowy landscapes. Between the mountains of the three sister, Loch Lomond, the Glenfinnan Viaduct (which also appears in the movie two of Harry Potter), we couldn't get bored and we took full eyes.

We stayed in a hostel in Oban, on the edge of the sea. A small coliseum located in height allows a breathtaking view of the whole city.

Then, just to take the ferrie to go on the Isle of Mull, what we did. This allows to admire the beauty of the mountains and the sea for an hour.

Once on the island, you must visit in the town of Tobermory with houses of all colors. Consider visiting the distillery in the city and its taste whiskey. I would like to tell you that you can see seals, as we did, unfortunately we finally realized that it was only driftwood.

And then made a tour of the island. The landscapes are beautiful and of all colors and animals are adorable but always crossing the road. You can also stop on the white sand beaches and look for whales in the sea (well...good luck for that).

We have all the possible weathers between the sun, the rain, hail and snow, allowing us to see the island in all its colors, which makes this trip even more memorable.

You can spend a great time, between landscapes breathtaking and Mendelssohn on Mull festival.
